- An inspirational talk to 600 middle-school children in Wimborne, Dorset. Called The ‘whirlwind moment’ My Journey Into Environmental Activism read the Intro over on the blog!
- Sustainable Fashion Week we purchased an embroidery for the OneDress campaign that featured in London & New York fashion week.
- DJ School Summer Fair in Wimborne & Showcase Green Fair in Blandford Forum
- Lending our cinema equipment to Weymouth Climate Hub #GreatBigGreenWeek
- DJ’ing on the opening day of Fashioning Our World a sustainable fashion exhibition at Salisbury Museum with Patrick Grant of Sewing Bee!
2023
- local community Foodbank Funday
- Two sustainable fashion shows in Dorchester & Salisbury. I compered both events as well as DJ’ing PLUS provided upcycled costumes for the male models.
2022
- A primary school summer fair that really wanted inspiring green & eco activities. Ecotainment! provided music and bubbles solar-powered stylee!
- ‘Lightning Bolt’ a local family festival raising money for charity – Tip of the Pops opened up the festival with music and bubbles #keepitwheel
- ‘You Can’t Get There From Here‘ a film-fiesta part of Planet Wimborne Green Festival. Ecotainment! organised this film event which raised awareness & over £200 for good causes.
2021
- A lock-down virtual screening of the film 2040 for Planet Wimborne Green Festival & Earth Day. Which attracted guests from as far away as Canada
- How Can Fashion Be Sustainable? An online lock-down talk & workshop for 6th form students. At the end of the session participants had devised their own sustainable fashion action-plan.
2020
Two virtual lock-down screenings of the feature length documentary film ‘The Story of Plastic’. These two events had a combined total of 100+ viewers. The online discussion afterwards featured special guests from A Plastic Ocean, Wild Tribe Heroes, Extinction Rebellion & Friends of the Earth.
2019
- In 2019 Ecotainment! & Don’t Inflate to Celebrate hosted the European Premiere of ‘Rubber Jellyfish’ a film about balloons and sea turtles. This film goes in-depth into the plastic pollution problem by exposing #greenwashing in the latex rubber industry
2017/18
A Plastic Ocean adventure-documentary shown 15 times to 600+ people in Dorset. Linking local festivals, schools & universities with British Science Week, Earth Day, World Oceans & Environment Day.
Our first A Plastic Ocean event in Wimborne attracted 150+ audience
