Thanks very much for this opportunity please let me tell you a bit more about myself. As well as a compere, educator & activist I am an eco-friendly DJ who has been providing sustainable social-lubricant since 2007.
I play classic 7″ records plus digital tunes mixed with upcycling & renewable energy. I have an extensive collection of vinyl spanning 5 decades of dance from Rock & Roll to Rave music. Including funk, soul, disco & decades that’s suitable for any occasion & loved by all ages.
There are two main DJ’ing options it’s also possible to combine them both. An award winning Full-On Festival creation called Tip of the Pops solar-powered wheelbarrow disco. It mainly plays classic 7″ vinyl records and can pop-up anywhere. The basic sound system consists of an upcycled suitcase that is suitable for around 50 guests. This act can be walk-about, warm-up or the main event. I can even do a popular kids disco with bubble machine and nursery rhymes.
Secondly, Tip of the Pops Too the Totally Retro Revolution is a replica old-school disco. This also plays classic 7″ vinyl records and/or digital tracks meaning that you can be more specific with the playlist. The DJ booth is an original retro-bar from the 1960’s & the sound-system is 1000 watts Yamaha for up to 100 guests. The replica disco also comes with dance floor & ambient lighting for the evenings entertainment.
Both set-ups are 100% solar-powered, off-grid from May – August and do not require mains electricity to party.
Finally, I have a pop-up cinema which can either be used indoors or outside. The largest screen (indoor use only) is 12 ft wide by 9 ft high thus suitable for 100 guests. The smaller screens are 6ft wide but you have the option of front or rear projection. Owning cinema equipment is a direct result of me organising community film events which evolved into Film Fiestas. A seriously fun way to engage audiences with your film or campaign.
If you wanted something else that’s bespoke I’m happy to chat as nothing is impossible!
